I can't wait until Christmas. It's one of my favorite holidays only because of the kids and the fact that I will be with my whole family this year. Because this weekend is my exhub's time with the boys, we will be having an "early" Christmas Thursday with the boys until we pick them up again on our way to my parent's house in Tulsa for the real Christmas celebration starting Christmas Eve.
Sometimes it's nice to be a child of divorce if ONLY because of the multiple holiday and birthday celebrations and the "guilt" presents you get. hahaha I don't think my boys would know what to do if we only allowed them to celebrate Xmas once a year. And they get FOUR this year (one with all of us, their dad, my family and then their step-mom's family in TX). Lucky (spoiled) boys.
Vacation starts for me this Thursday. If work thinks I'm doing ANY thing for them over the holiday they must be smokin' crack! They won't even see me until the 2nd of January and they may not even see me then! hahaha
Things on the job search front are slowly coming around. I had an interview last Friday, another one today and I have to set up some time to discuss final next steps with another company that's interested in me that I'm hoping is the one. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!
J and I have been doing finance things together recently and I'm quite excited about where we're headed. We are both working to pay down debts as quickly as possible and it's really exciting when you see the progress. This weekend, with the help of cashing out some small investments, I was able to get three of my cards paid off. Can't tell you what a relief it is to do that. I can't wait until we're both pretty much free and clear. Shouldn't really take that long for him especially if we're working on it together. I'm hoping that we're able to make that family vacation to Disney World that his mother wants so desperately a reality once all of what we have to do is done. :)
Other than that, just trying to take it one day at a time and enjoying the holiday rush. Not sick anymore as I'd been in the previous weeks and although somedays I'm EXHAUSTED from work and the pregnancy, it's been pretty good. I'm happy and excited to have so much to look forward to next year. I'm predicting a good year: Fingers crossed, rubbing buddah, knocking on wood and all that jazz. hahaha
Happy Holidays everyone!
