It's in the cards

Ava received this card for her birthday from a friend of mine. The card shows Fairy Princesses including Tinkerbell from Disney. Ava loved the card the day she received it. As a matter of fact, when my friend's daughter was supposed to give her the card, she fought giving it up.

It's one of those cards that plays a song when you open it up. It also chimes when you close it. It's a cute card but those kind of cards really annoy me after a while. For some reason, this one doesn't.

Another person who loves the card: Nicolas. From time to time, especially after the party, I'd find him sitting in the play room or on the couch just holding the card in his lap, quietly STARING at the card.

After a little prodding we found out he was mesmerized by one of the female characters. The one with the braided ponytail in the light orange. Jason told me Nico said she was very pretty. Apparently, out of all of the girls, she's the prettiest to him. His first crush is a cartoon.

I guess I can't blame him.  When I was younger, my cartoon crush was from Jem and the Holograms - Jem's boyfriend. (Do you guys remember that cartoon?! The boyfriend was HOT. LOL) That's probably dating my age, but seriously, he was a huge crush for me. Of course, I upgraded to ....human. But it's a nice memory.

Anyway, the other birthday cards - can't remember where they are. THAT card? In the playroom and still looks new and intact. And if you know MY two littlest ones - that's really saying something.
