I think I've spoken about the awesomeness that is my mother in law. She's a cooking demon and all of it is just DELISH. If we lived closer where we could spend Sunday dinners every week, I think I would be about 200 lbs now. (it's a really good thing she's all the way in NH and we're in TX!)
Anyway, they are coming down for a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving and she's been sending down dessert items to freeze for Thanksgiving weekend as well as various bottles of cooking items. This is the third package in 10 days!
This package included: Molasses cookies, pizzelles (Italian waffle cookie) and sugar nuts - ALL HOMEMADE!

These are my absolute favorite items she makes - which is hard to choose. This is the second shipment. She sent another batch because we went through the first shipment of cookies we were supposed to freeze and save. LOL! There are three layers of molasses cookies and she sent two containers full!

Wow, that all looks great! So hilarious that you guys devoured one batch of cookies so she had to send more. LMBO. Your MIL definitely seems awesome. Hey, package the leftovers and send them my way. Just kidding.
Yum, I love molasses cookies. How amazing is that. You have so much dessert just coming your way in time for the holidays. Those pizzelles are so delicate and buttery looking. Your a lucky gal. Good luck keeping your hands off.
So far, so good with not touching the cookies but I left them out (instead of putting them in the freezer) to entice me...I'm not very good at denying my sweet tooth! hahah
