My youngest son turned 5 this month.
I know we always as parents say this but, seriously, WHERE did the time GO?
This year, I bit the bullet and took the party to Chuck E Cheese - so my kid could be a kid without my worrying about cleaning up after him. We had about 12-13 kids and had family and friends drive in from Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Ft. Worth and Houston. Nicolas was VERY happy with how it all turned out. They played games, had pizza, Nicolas got to hang with his other favorite little people outside of Ava and enjoyed being King for a Weekend. I'm finding out my 5 year old rather enjoys attention. Come to think of it, maybe this wasn't such a good idea. He already thinks the sun rises and sets around him and this birthday weekend probably did NOTHING to temper that thought. hahah But that's okay. I'm glad he's finally coming out of his shell. It's a complete change from where he was three years ago. So shy and having to take more time to warm up to strangers and even family he hadn't seen in a while. Now you can't stop him, can't shut him up - he's jumping on everyone, hugging, acting... Maybe I should get this boy into show business so he can turn his antics into cash for college, know what I mean? ... ;)
I remember being a kid and just LOVING Chuck E Cheese (and Showbiz Pizza - same idea, but lower budget. Anyone remember this or was it just a Tulsa thing?). Between the kids, the parents, the noise and the other birthdays we were surrounded by, I was WELL ready to get home after the three hours of being there. Now it just exhausts me but I do it for my children because they LOVE it.

Happy Birthday Nico
Happy Birthday to your baby. Everyone looked like they had a great time. And you look so much like your mama. Wow! :)
Look at that cutie! Looks like he had a blast! Hooray Chuckie Cheese, providing fun and cleaning up too! LOL
I totally remember Showbiz Pizza! I had a couple of birthday parties there, now that I think about it! Your baby, I mean big boy, looks like he had a blast!
This is like over-happy-belated birthday. I can see he enjoyed it. 5 is wonderful number :)
